Context
Founded in 1989, the Hervé Bize gallery has played a pioneering role in contemporary art in the Grand Est region. It contributes to the development of private and public collections through an exhibition program and ongoing support for both French and international artists.
Since 2000, the gallery has taken part in major international art fairs, including Art Basel (Basel), FIAC (Paris), Frieze (New York), The Armory Show (New York), Art Los Angeles Contemporary, Artgenève, Independent (New York), and Zona Maco (Mexico).
I have had the opportunity to support the gallery for nearly ten years in the development of its visual identity, intentionally kept very understated to give full prominence to the artist’s work. This has included invitation cards, mailings, advertising inserts in art magazines, Facebook posts, and exhibition catalogs.
Hervé Bize was also appointed Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2012, a distinction that further contributed to the gallery’s international reputation.
